Our Practice

Radiology Physicians, Inc (RPI) has been providing specialized diagnostic and interventional care to Dayton and the surrounding areas since the 1960’s and is the exclusive provider of radiology services throughout the Premier Health Network. We offer imaging services and expertise comparable to major academic institutions, yet we maintain the patient-centered focus and accessibility of a private practice physician group.

Beyond clinical excellence, RPI is proudly known as a ‘lifestyle’ group. We foster a culture that prioritizes physician wellness across all generations and career stages, recognizing that a sustainable work-life balance is vital for the well-being of both our physicians and our patients

Why RPI?

  • Physician-Owned: 100% owned and operated by our physicians since the 1960s. No private equity. No corporate parent. No tiered partnership. Every partner has an equal voice in how the practice is run.
  • Short Partnership Track: Most recent partnership offer was 12 months. Buy-in is approximately $5,000, deducted from your first quarterly partner distribution. No large out-of-pocket payment at signing.
  • Exclusive Provider: The exclusive radiology provider throughout the Premier Health Network: 5 major hospitals, multiple urgent care and outpatient imaging sites, and Southwest Ohio’s only Level I Trauma Center.
  • ACR Breast Center of Excellence: Over 72,000 breast exams per year: 50,000 screening mammograms, 10,000+ diagnostic mammograms, 9,000-10,000 breast ultrasounds, 1,200+ breast MRI, and 2,500 image-guided procedures. 3D tomosynthesis, full breast MRI program, and experienced technologists and breast imaging coordinators.
  • Expertise: Provides sub-specialized expertise.
  • Service Quality: Offers imaging services and expertise comparable to major academic institutions while maintaining a patient-centered, private practice.
  • Sub-Specialized, Collegial Environment: With 50+ radiologists, our practice mirrors an academic model. You read what you are trained and comfortable reading, with experienced colleagues always available to collaborate on complex cases.
  • Flexibility and Input Welcome: We work with our physicians to tailor schedules and roles to fit your desired work-life balance. If you have ideas about how to improve workflows or grow the program, we want to hear them.
  • Room to Grow: Opportunities to take on leadership roles and grow professionally within the practice are available and encouraged.
  • Malpractice Covered: Employer-paid occurrence-based policy. No tail coverage needed, ever.

  • Dining and Culture: James Beard-nominated restaurants, the Dayton Art Institute, and free admission to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (the world’s largest military aviation museum).
  • Easy Travel: Dayton International Airport,  Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, John Glenn Columbus International Airport (major hubs with domestic and international service) are all accessible for easy travel.
